Jamie Gorelick: Non-Profit and Corporate Work

Jamie Gorelick is also experienced in both the corporate and non-profit arenas. Gorelick is currently a member of the boards of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Urban Institute, and the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Jamie Gorelick has, in the past, been a member of Harvard University's Board of Overseers, the Visiting Committee for Harvard Law School, the Board of the National Women's Law Center, the Board of the National Park Foundation, the Council of the American Law Institute, and the Board of Advisors for Legal Affairs. She is currently on the Board of Advisors of Best Lawyers in America.

Jamie Gorelick is similarly experienced in the corporate world, serving on the boards of United Technologies Inc. and Schlumberger Ltd, as well as on the Advisory Council for BP America. She was Vice Chair of Fannie Mae from 1997 to 2003. Jamie Gorelick received the DC Chamber of Commerce Corporate Leadership Award in 2003.

During her tenure at Fannie Mae, Jamie Gorelick was listed as among Fortune's "50 Most Powerful Women in Business". Jamie Gorelick was also featured as one of "America's Top Businesswomen" in Forbes and praised as one of the "50 Smartest Women in the Money Business" by Money Magazine. Widely recognized for her expertise in corporate governance and ethics, Jamie Gorelick presented the Raytheon Lecture in Corporate Ethics in 2004.
